2010 Summer Art Camp: Week 3 in Mississauga

A younger crowd; 9 children and a fully packed week!
Ibraheem putting on the final touches...

Collaging is fun....
Glitter-gems-feathers-and fabrics...all you need is glue now...where did it go?

Art supplies galore...
Time to play outside!

And race to the hill in the park!

Downward Dog time...
And a break by the cool stream.
Samantha's leaving early and showing us her beautiful creations :-)
Designs on paper

Machaila's display of her creations ~ she brought the Barbie flyer that all the girls went gaga over!
Gianluca and his cool art..note the painting

Alexia...with all her creations...lots of pink!

Ibraheem's art camp creations. Note his structural collage and then the collage of architectural sites...a budding architect?
The only plaster hand that "turned-out" by Ibraheem.

Maleeha posing with her fun creations! Again PINK is the favoured colour! And note her cool fabric design in her collage.

Ilaria's creations ready to take home.
It's all about the pink...and the T-shirt and turquoise 'Splash' painting were my favourites.

Art Camp is over..Here are the Thanks:
  • Thanks to the children, their awesome, creative curiosity, eagerness & their parents who entrusted me with them.
  • BIG thanks especially to Sharon & Eric, Alexia's parents, who opened their home to us all!
  • HUGE Thanks to Sharon for her assistance during the week: setting up the bouncy castle; helping with tearful moments of homesick kids; lunch duties and park excursions.!
  • And thanks to my daughter, Jennifer, coming by to help on pizza day and the ingenious "Simon Says" game to still the 'antsy' crowd before escaping to the park! ....2 days before giving birth (little did she know this!)

"Simon Says"....and then we'll hit the park...promise!
yeah...the shady park...

Make your own Pizza day!
Spaghetti time...yummy!

watermelon = summer!
